Hi Shaher

welcome to the Atlassian community.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-applications-938846936.html is a good place to start when it comes to upgrades.

Generally speaking (after you did take a backup of your database and the application home directory) you can use either the installer to upgrade or download the tar archive and upgrade manually.

Hope that helps

Hello Kurt,

Thank you it was very helpful but I had the below issue regarding the database while performing a health check.

"Jira is using the H2 embedded database. You should migrate to a supported database to ensure your data is safe"

The H2 is supported for evaluating Jira, for production purposes you should definitely with one of the databases listed  at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/supported-platforms-938846830.html

The article below shows how to migrated from h2 to an alternative dbms
