Hi all,
I have a Jira Software version 8.5.1. I would like to upgrade it to version 8.22.6.
My licence is valid until feb 2024.
I visited Jira Software website (https://www.atlassian.com/fr/migration/assess/journey-to-cloud) that indicates it is not possible anymore to upgrade tier.
I suspect tier is the number of users associated to my licence.
Do you think it is still possible to upgrade the Jira software version (8.5.1 -> 8.22.6) without changing the tier program?
Thank you
Hi @Gregory BONNARDEL ,
Welcome to the community !!
You can download the required version and upgrade the existing server with valid license. File to download is present in https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download-archives
Tier means user license. Atlassian has stopped user license upgrade as of now and not selling any new licenses to server versions.
If i were you I will go from/To:
From 8.5.1 to 8.6.latest
From 8.6.latest to 8.7.latest
From 8.7.latest to 8.8.latest
and so on till 8.22.6

Hi @Gregory BONNARDEL ,
Its long process and too many downtimes required.
Why would you do so many upgrades when you can directly upgrade from 8.5.1 to 8.22.6.
Always see the upgrade matrix https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrade-checklist-966063320.html
