Unable to run GET request on browser (Status 503)

Bindiya Vikram Naik May 4, 2021

When I try to run my url on browser:

https://<Project-Key>.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/user (Get request) It should display list of users. But I get 503 status error in chrome extension. I also get a error msg "Your Jira Cloud subscription has been deactivated due to inactivity, and the data will be permanently deleted soon.
Please contact us immediately if you need assistance."

I also wanted to check the Jira version. How do I do that?

Please guide.

Dear @Bindiya Vikram Naik ,

welcome to the community,

I checked out the behavior on my clud instance and it works as expected. But you have to first authenticate. Open https://<Project-Key>.atlassian.net in another browser tab, first, login and then try again with the GET. If it doesn't work, either your account is locked or you do not have the global permissions browse users and OAuth scopes read:jira-user.

For Jira Cloud version use

GET /rest/api/3/serverInfo

So long

Thanks Thomas.

I tried "https://<Project-Key>.atlassian.net" in another browser tab and received same error.

If in case my account is locked or do not have global permissions you mentioned "browse users and OAuth scopes read:jira-user".  Sorry I could not get that.

Dear @Bindiya Vikram Naik ,

if your account is company managed, ask your admin. In other cases, you need to contact Atlassian Cloud Support .

So long

Thomas
