Unable to create issues in JIRA. Asking Project Name required, but it is already there?

Rajalakshmi Rajagopal May 27, 2021

Hi,

I'm unable to create any issues in JIRA. The error message shows "Project Name(s): Project Name(s) is required". I already have the project name in the project drop-down field.

Did anyone experience the same issue? Appreciate your help!

Hi @Rajalakshmi Rajagopal - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I have not see that before - maybe try logging out and back in. And then clear your cache for your browser.

Then check the permission scheme for that project to make sure that you have Browse Project and Create Issue permissions.

If you do all of that and still get the error, I would open a support ticket with Atlassian:

Thanks, John. I tried all of those but did not work. One of my employees created a support ticket. Got resolved now!

Can you share what the resolution was?

Sure, it was a licensing issue. Once paid, it got resolved.
