Unable to add existing issue to a sprint

Yoko Yamazaki November 6, 2014

Hello,

The error message was shown when I tried to add an existing issue to a sprint.

"You cannot perform this operation because you do not have "Schedule" permission."

I have the 'Edit Issue' permission and I only tried to add an issue to a sprint. I didn't moving it above or below. If I want to add an issue to a sprint, should I get the 'Schedule Issue' permission?

Our version is JIRA Agile 6.3.13.1.

Best Regards,

Hi @Yoko Yamazaki,

Yes, you can separate the permissions using project wise.

Manage the permissions accordingly in Project 1) Roles, 2)Permissions. This will help you to fix it.

Ranking will be available only to the filters that you use to manage your boards.

Apply ranks to Filter only.

I used GreenHopper 6.2 before and I could add the issue to the sprint in this version if I only have 'Edit issue' permission. When I added the issue to the sprint, it was placed at the bottom of a sprint but I couldn't rank it.

But it seems that user who only has 'Edit issue' permission can't add the issue to the sprint in Agile 6.3 or later.

Do you have any idea if I would like to separate the permission?

  • User add the issue to the sprint but they are't able to rank it
  • Product owner only rank the issue
