Troubles with german "ß" in Issue Navigator (Jira Software 8.3.0)

I have troubles to select option values with "ß" (äöü works) during filtering in the Issue Navigator.

The following message is showing:

Die Option 'Schweißen' für Feld 'Arbeitsbereich' existiert nicht.

That means option 'Schweißen' does not exist for the field  'Arbeitsbereich'.

But the option value exists for the customfield and is also shown in the issue details masks.

Is there any troubles with Database or with jira version?

Thank you for reaching out.

Indeed, the issue navigator of JIRA is not able to identify/render custom field options when it has the umlaut character. We have reported this problem as a bug here:

Issue Navigator throws error when field with values containing Umlaut character is selected

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about its fix implementation.

For now, we can only recommend you to avoid the use of that character in the custom field option.
