Tracking Jiras Created for Other Teams

Steve Albright August 22, 2017

Hi,

My company is going through agile transformation and we would like to start examining cycle times for issues.   Of particular interest is the cycle time of issues created for other teams.   For example, if our search engine team creates a ticket for the IT infrastructure team, we want to be able to specifically track it on a report.  We are seeing a delay in issues created for other teams.

Also, we are thinking of blocking teams from creating jiras for other scrum teams.   They would only be able to create items within their own projects.   Is this possible in Jira?

Thanks,

Steve

lots of ways to do this. Based upon what you conveyed here it might be that creating a dashboard with an average age gadget for each team, e.g. IT infrastructure. It just comes down to creating JQL filters that give you what you want and then you can use in a dashboard or you can set up an email subscription if appropriate.

and on your second question, certainly that is possible to restrict who can create issues in a given project.
