Which version of Tempo Timesheets is supported by Jira Cloud?

I am migrating Jira Server to Jira Cloud, and currently, I am using Tempo Timesheets version 8.9.1; and want to know which version is compatible with Jira Cloud?

It doesn't make sense to ask about "versions" of Cloud.  Two main reasons:

  • Cloud is updated to latest very frequently.  There's no point asking for a version, it's not going to tell you anything you can use, and it's going to change in a few weeks anyway.
  • Cloud and Server apps are totally different things (as are Jira Cloud and Jira Server - they have a common ancestor, do broadly the same thing, and have a lot of understanding of each other's data, but they are not the same thing.  It's a bit like comparing the great apes - bonobos, chimpanzees, humans, orang-utans and the two gorillas have a lot of understanding, a lot of similarities, and a common ancestor, but we're not the same species)

So, there's no "version" compatibility.  You should take your Jira Server up to the latest version it is practicable to do so, upgrade Tempo to the latest version compatible with that and then start looking at your migration path.  The versions are not relevant/supported, it's totally different software.

Hello @Pushpendra Kumar Singh

Welcome to the community.

If you review the Marketplace information for Tempo Timesheets, on the Versions tab is you switch between JIRA Server and JIRA Cloud you will see that they don't apply a version number to the version that is used for JIRA Cloud.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6572/tempo-timesheets-time-tracking-reports?hosting=cloud&tab=versions

They show only a release date.

Looking at the version history for the app compatible with JIRA Server, it seems that 8.9.1 was released in March 2018. The app for JIRA Cloud was updated in April 2021. They probably do not necessarily have the same functionality.

I would recommend that you contact the vendor of the Tempo Timesheets app to get more details about the differences.
