Setup JIRA on postgre

Administrator December 20, 2017

I tried now for two days to bring up JIRA on a postgre database.

I did the installation on all described ways I found in the internet, but no way will work.

I am very frustrated. I need a detailed intruction for installation which will work.

Several errors I get:

- Database is not empty

Benutzer kann nicht hinzugefügt werden. Alle Benutzerverzeichnisse sind schreibgeschützt.

I installed also the test version, but the change to postgre did not work

Hi Lutz,

This is the specific way that we support you setup Jira on a new Postgres database:

You will want to make sure the database is created exactly per the article, and that it does not have any data in it currently, and has not been connected to Jira yet.

If you are trying to migrate Jira from one database type to PostgreSQL please let me know what the previous database type was.

It will also help to know your Jira version and the version of your PostgreSQL database.

Regards,

Shannon
