I'm looking to set the version name of a ticket once a merge request has been performed. I saw in the automation tab that it is possible to transition a ticket and setting the version name, even to the latest release version. My issue is however,

that I need to filter the release versions based on a name, as multiple clients have release versions within the project.

For example we have clientA_v1.0.0, clientB_v2.3.6, ...

I need to be able to filter the list and only get the latest from clientA. Is this possible?

Kind regards

Hi @James Cullimore -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

To do that, I believe your rule would need to call the REST API function to get all of the versions for the project, and then use a regular expression with the match() function to filter down to the one you want.

If you want to try this, here is some documentation / how-to articles to get started:

I suspect the filtering may take two steps, as you want to filter by version name and by the release date.

Kind regards,
