Retrieval of previous issue status

Hi Experts, 

I created a simple rule that leads to an action to send an email.

A requirement is to show "status from" to "status to". 

I have no issue retrieving status "TO" BUT an issue getting status "from".

I tried everything but... no success! 

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance
