Resolve issue but resolution needs documented - workflow options?

I'm setting up a new project template in Jira.

The projects will have a number of issues where they need to be considered as resolved (i.e. the problem has been fixed) however despite being resolved they require further documentation of the resolution before they are complete.

Any suggestions on the best way to manage these in Jira?

Add a mandatory custom field called 'Resolution Documentation' that appears on the resolving transition.
