Hi there - is there any way to automatically set a Story's Fix Version field from the Epic Link it was created with? It seems a pain in the behind to manually set the Fix Version on the create screen when it could (in theory) be discerned as matching the epic (at least by default).
I'm afraid in OnDemand (at least as far as I know) this isn't possible. You could however add a Post Condition to one of your transitions to copy a field value from the parent but an Epic is not really a parent. Therefor that won't work.
You could Bulk Update the fixVersions of the issues linked to a certain Epic from time to time. It's still a manually action but it limits it to one action per Epic instead of changing the fixVersion of every single issue by hand.
Hope this helps.
