Poor New rapid view performance

We're running Jira 4.3.4 with Greenhopper 5.6.8.

When we carry out the following:

1. Open Agile Menu

2. Open "Manage Rapid Views"

3. Click "New Rapid View"

, Jira takes 25-40 seconds to present the modal dialog for creation of a new rapid view.

Using Chrome developer tools, it appears that time is spent downloading a 1.65MB result set which contains every filter in Jira. We've got 9277 filters, so it all adds up.

We haven't had a chance to upgrade to Jira 4.4.x and the corresponding Greenhopper 5.8.x release.

Are there any improvements in the speed it takes to open that modal dialog box ?

Hi David,

we've replaced the dropdown with an AJAX-autocomplete combo box, this will be in the next release of GreenHopper 5.8 and should greatly improve performance for your use case.

Can I assume you're referring to 5.8.4? It's just that I don't see the fix in question listed here:

This was not done as a separate feature, but it's a side effect of introducing inline edit for the saved filter behind a rapid view.
