I just started the GreenHopper (installed and licensed) and click on "create a sample project" from Evaluating GreenHopper.... Thought I would "poke around in some sample data..." How do I get permission to share the project? BTW, I logged on as the administrator in JIRA.
Late to the party, but this may be useful for other users: note that you need the Browse Projects permission in the Default Permission Scheme to create a project from JIRA Agile. If in the scheme it's only the Users role that has the browsing permission (which is the default configuration), check JIRA Admin > System > Roles - your account may not be in the role by default.
As Agile can't check for this permission before creating the project (and hence not give the user the option), an error is thrown afterwards.
...It's true that there are projects in Jira; but they are merely a way to cut off issues, to tell them apart from other sections of work and to apply rules that are specific to that team (the schemes)....
