Performance downgrade

Toni Mofardin August 20, 2022

We are using Jira for over 10 years, and product works perfectly.
Lately we are experiencing some performance downgrade, app is slow.

Do we have any options at disposal, to improve performance? For example, can we increase resources on server, archive old data, etc.?

More info:

Hosting: dedicated, on server

Jira version: 7.8

Issues count: 20k

Details on link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y9c2g0ss8dernn0/AAC_AYo7rvEdbn9uBUJT41_Va?dl=0

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi @Toni Mofardin ,

based on provided info, in my opinion, you could increase JVM parameters : currently you have 2GB. You could extend Xxm to 4GB (https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/setting-properties-and-options-on-startup-938847831.html)

Based on number of issues it should be enough. Please take a look to the following article https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver078/performance-and-scaling-966064101.html

Hope this helps,

Fabio
