One email adress for customer portal and Jira Software

Can I be a user of the customer portal and a user of Jira Software in one Jira cloud with one e-mail address? 

We have customer users who write requests (tickets) to the customer portal (Servis Desk) and are also members of a our software project in Jira software.

Yes without any problem. Those users will have to be : 

• Customers (only) in the Jira Service Desk project
• Users with a specific Jira Project Role in the Jira Software Project (like for example "Developers" Role or other)
