On JIRA Agile scrum board, WORK mode, moving all sub tasks to DONE column is transitioning Parent Story issue to VOID

Hi JIRA Agile Experts!!

I have a query regarding JIRA Agile scrum board. We are using GH plugin 6.6.51.

We are observing following strange behaviour on JIRA agile scrum board where on moving all 3 sub tasks of story issue type to 'DONE' column in "work mode" is transitioning parent story issue to VOID. Why is this happening. Parent story issue should be moved to 'Accepted'

Test Case:

1. On a scrum board, create a issue of type 'Story' with 3 sub tasks.
2. In Work mode (after Start Sprint), drag all 3 sub tasks to 'DONE' column
3. Click 'Move to Done'
4. System will ask to update Parent issue to match state. 
5. Click Update
6. System will transition Parent Story issue type into VOID

We are unable to understand reason for this. Since all 3 sub tasks have been moved to 'Accepted', so Parent should also moved to Accepted.

Would be nice if anyone can help us on this. Are we missing some Board configuration

Hi Shradha,

Can you confirm if the workflow associated to the Parent Issue type has the same status as the sub-tasks?

It seems like there's no Done status for that Issue Type

Your workflow for the stories has a status called "void", which you have put in the "done" column on the board.

Take a look at the issue ITSS-116 in plain JIRA and use the "view workflow" option to see what you've done here.

A transition was missing from OPEN to DONE in workflow. I added it and it worked.
