I reached out to Atlassian support,

it was found that I had only the Jira software on my Sandbox and I had to add JSM (Jira service management) to the sandbox as well as my automation rules are based on the JSM product.

Once I added the JSM product on the sandbox instance, the automation rule executions were able to run.

Hi @david_levy,

There's not much we can tell about your specific situation since we don't have access to your site. But you may want to navigate to global automation settings and check your usage statistics there.

That may at least give you some insights in what your current execution limit is and why you get the message that it is exceeded.

Hope this helps!

Hi Walter,

We have a "Premium" plan therefore it's unlimited for the product environment. My issue is with the SandBox where it says the limit is 100 but gives that message event if I still have all the 100.

Hi @david_levy

Adding to Walter's answer...

When you navigate to the Sandbox site's global automation configuration, what do you see for:

  • the allocation for all of the products in the site, under the usage tab
  • the global automation log for any rules which have run

And, the image you show has the plan as UNKNOWN; is that what shows for Sandbox environments?  I have found no documentation describing the usage limits for Sandbox environments, even though they are created from Premium or Enterprise license plans.

Kind regards,
Bill

Bill Hi,

On the Sandbox site's global automation configuration:

  • the allocation for all of the products is 100.
  • the global automation log for any rules is 0.

The plan for the SandBox is "UNKNOWN" inside the global automation.

Hmmm...based on what I know about sandboxes, I thought the limits were the same (as they are linked to the Premium or Enterprise license products for a site).

I recommend asking Atlassian Support to learn what they suggest: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
