I've had no problems with the OnDemand systems I'm using, so this is probably quite a limited problem. Two days maintenance is definitely not right, especially without notice, so I'd suggest you raise the issue witih OnDemand support straight away (we're end-users here, not support, we don't have any more access to OnDemand than you do)
