Login enforced when user logs in through IDP SSO(Azure)

DevOps Support September 28, 2020

Hi folks,

We've setup JIRa with Azure SSO.  Once user authenticates and clicks on the JIRA tile in myapplications.microsoft.com/ he then being transferred and redirected to his JIRA session.
If user click on the tile again - he is now prompted with credential entry.
Same happens if user just closes his tables without Logging Out.

in the SSO 2.0 settings it is set to remember users passwords as well.

so it seems that JIRA is having some issues with detecting that user already has a session open.... or vice a versa - sees that session is open and new one is being created and decides to ensure the user's identity.
I'm looking how to "fix" the issue, if anyone knows

Hello @DevOps Support - this may relate to the linked incident Login / Signup with Microsoft not working.

Looks like the issue has been resolved.

That would be lucky coincidence.. but no, issue persists. Still think it has something to do with unclosed\open user sessions and consequent login attempt.
Once user Logs out - IDP SSO logs user back in as it should without issues.
