Logging JIRA Agile board operations

Tim Yeung April 23, 2014

Are there any logs available to track activites such as when a user create an Agile board, modify an Agile board (e.g. update swimlanes, configure status columns, etc.), delete an Agile board?

From experience, I can't see it in atlassian-greenhopper.log.

The use case is that we create Agile board for users based on a template board, and we want to track who did modifications on it.

Thank you in advance!

Hey there, Tim.

I believe that you might be interested to have a look in the access-log in JIRA to have an overview of what pages are being accessed by JIRA users as an overall. Mind you that it might be a bit messy but it is one of the methods that you can consider to track the activities that are going on.

It might not be as accurate but hope this helps!

Hi Monique,

Thank you for the info. It helps a bit but I want to know is it true that there is no way to tell what/how a person modified the Agile board?

For example, from the access log, I can see who modified the swimlanes but I can't tell exactly what he modified on the swinlanes configuraiton.

Thank you!!
