Hi,
We have problems with our filters in JIRA. On the left sidebar there is a error that says: Failed to retrieve favourite filters from server.
Also the JQL bar is gone and the share/tools buttons are giving this error:
The Jira server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down.
I already found this ticket:
And these topics:
But the above problems are the same, but the solutions are not working. I tried the queries in the database to find filters shared with deleted groups but thats not the case.
Can you help me out?
Did you restart and reindex your instance after applying the solution.
If yes, your installtion is broken please contact atlassian support. There is no point shooting in the dark without the complete logs/support package.
+1 for support request.
I did restart the server and reindex but i didn't exactly applied a solution because when i query the database with the suggested queries to find the problem records i don't find any results. So my problem looks the same but isn't. The cause suggested in the topic is a deleted user group and a filter that was shared with that group. In our case we did'n delete any user group.
I have already contacted them but unfortunately we don't have premium support so they can't help me.

we had a very similar problem to this which appears to be related to the fix for version 8.5.32 of tomcat - catering to special characters in the request - as documented in the release notes for 7.13.1:
