License upgrade fails: The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

I have tried to register Greenhopper and Bonfire Jira plugins with my brand new just bought license keys. However if I try to cut&paste them into the license management fields and click "update" I see the following message: The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

Is it possible that the license module is not able to contact the respective server at atlassian? The firewall rules only enable the following

allow http plugins.atlassian.com
allow https plugins.atlassian.com
allow http update.atlassian.com
allow http maven.atlassian.com
allow https maven.atlassian.com
allow http downloads.atlassian.com
allow https marketplace.atlassian.com

License upgrades of Jira and Fisheye do work!

Regards,

Gerd

After a week of vacation a retry worked without problems ... looks like it was only a temporary problem ... However, some useful error message would have helped (something like: "Cannot reach server XXX").

I have the same issue. I hope there is a better solution than "wait"
