LDAPS User Directory for Confluence

Deleted user February 17, 2020

Hi together,

we need to configure Confluence User Directory to use SSL to connect to Microsoft Active Directory.

Conflunce runs on a Windows server and our DC uses a self-signed certificate we imported to Confluence's truststore (cacerts file).

If we run the quick test, the connection seems to work. But if we save and the test the configuration, Confluence is not able to retrieve users...

If we connect to LDAP without SSL everything works fine.

Can anybody help out to solve this issue?

Thank in advance for your help and best regards!

Have you notice any SSLException on atlassian-confluence.log? If so, the certificate is not properly configured into the cacerts or the Confluence Server has not been restarted after added the new cert file.

Anyway, have you check the Configuring an SSL Connection to Active Directory page? I believe will help you to figure out what the problem is.

Thanks for your fast reply.

Confluence has been restarted, but there's no SSLException in the logs,
