Hello,
We are getting error "401 Client must be authenticated to access this resource" when using Confluence Page Gadget in Jira. I found related error message in Jira logs:
2021-03-01 10:53:14,002+0100 http-nio-10.111.33.34-8016-exec-385 url: /plugins/servlet/gadgets/makeRequest; user: username WARN username 653x25696820x23 72ynis 11.111.113.112,11.111.113.112 /plugins/servlet/gadgets/makeRequest [c.a.g.r.internal.http.HttpClientFetcher] A request to https://confluence.ourdomain.comundefined&hasRoot=true&pageId=undefined&treeId=0&startDepth=undefined&mobile=false&treePageId=undefined/?cacheBuster=1614592386858 has been denied. To allow requests to this URL add the application URL to your whitelist (http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/KQfCDQ).
IMHO it is nonsense and it is not related to Whitelist, as there is configured Application link between Jira and Confluence and all other integrations work properly.
I went through some existing posts here related to this topic, but I haven't found any useful information there.
Could you please advise, how to fix this ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
BR, JJ.
As the error message says, you need to add your jira URL to the whitelist in confluence and allow outgoing and incoming connections.

There is already set the Application link between Jira and Confluence, so this is added automatically to Whitelists on both sides, I've just check manually that also Incoming is allowed, anyway it doesn't help :-( that's why I doubt about this information.. There must be something else, which is not configured properly, but I cannot find what exactly..
