Jira cloud to cloud migration (easy?)

Sonya Petkunas March 8, 2021

Looking for an easy solution for migrating 1 project from a cloud instance to cohabit with our main cloud instance. Is there really no other solution than to export/import using a .csv file or to use the data center? Atlassian doesn't make a tool for this? This is the first of many migrations we will need to do. Some others will be server to cloud and have many more projects than just 1.

No easy solution at this time. You can spin a temporary self-hosted instance, take a backup of your cloud site there, then use JCMA to upload your single project.

Having said that, if you intend to consolidate multiple Cloud and self-hosted instances, you should consider consolidating on self-hosted as much as possible, then taking the resulting instance to Cloud.
