after updating java installation it is not possible suddenly to login to jira. I'm not sure if this is directly in touch with the java update but in the application restart. I tried also to downgrade to old java version. While Jira is not working anymore confluence has no problems ....
Problem description when connecting to Jira local web-interface is:
"JIRA access problem
There is a problem with your JIRA access.
Description Time Level Exception
The following licenses are too old to install this version of JIRA (7.1.7): JIRA Software. The licenses for this instance only grant access to versions of JIRA created before 03/Sep/16 4:00 PM.
Update stored license or proceed under our evaluation terms"
But we did not install anything new and we did the upgrade of Jira far befor 03.09.2016 ...
Help needed ....

This error usually appears when you upgrade Jira to a version that has a release date after the date of expiration of your license.
Check the expiration date of your license and check the release date of Jira 7.1.7, if the license expires early, you need to install an older version of jira or purchase a renewal.
If you have a new license, just go to administration and upgrade the old one, that should work
