I've been working on a custom Jira dashboard in React by retrieving issue data from the REST API. I'm using basic auth, which results in CORS restrictions. I read in the docs that OAuth support CORS whitelisting, so I'm looking into that option now.
I'm not very familiar with OAuth yet, so I was wondering how it works. I read in the docs that you'd have to provide login credentials to receive a request token. My question is: can this process be coded under water, so the end user doesn't need to provide user credentials? Not everyone in our organisation has his own Jira user account, so it's not possible for every employee to provide user credentials.
