JQL all items in an epic which are in a specific state

I am using the ondemand cloud jira and without using any plugins is there a way to basically write a query that would allow me to get 

Get ALL issues where Epic Link = ( Epic Status in ("In Progress"))

I don't want to have to rely on remembering to update a query everytime an Epic transitions to a new status to add it into the query, and likewise ever time an epic transitions out to remove it.

Unfortunately, it is not an option in JIRA Cloud (and I am not sure if there are any Connect add-ons that supports this now). You cannot do this in JIRA Server as well, without adding add-ons like JQL Tricks.

Thanks Jobin. i was afraid that was the answer. seemed that specific type of query would be very benificial for portfolio so i was hoping there was a way to do it :-(.
