We have a JIRA project it uses Label field for storing the name of the bank who sent us the request. The names stored in this field by each user does not seem to be available to other users so each of them, as soon as they start using the system for the first time, need to input the name of the bank in “label”.
This is clearly a risk as the name of client must be coded consistently by different users in order to preserve the correctness of the reporting.
Is there a way to make visible across users the client names already coded in Label ? some clean up may be required due to different input executed so far.
I'm not quite clear on the issue. Are you saying that if you add a label to an issue then other users don't have access to that label? This certainly isn't correct as stated and would suggest contacting Atlassian Support.
Having said that, let me ask why you are using Labels for this function rather than a custom field for customer? You could use a drop down. Having the bank as a label is fraught w/ potential errors. You touched on one of the downsides "some clean up...".
Regardless the labels issue needs to be investigated/resolved.
