JIRA Agile - Spamming All Users on Expiration

Shelli May 23, 2014

Our license for JIRA Agile expired today and the system sent an email to all JIRA admin users. The email subject was:

[Add-on Licensing] Maintenance period for JIRA Agile has expired

with the text:

Hello <User>!

The maintenance period for JIRA Agile has expired. You may lose support and future free updates.

Renew your maintenance for another year at MyAtlassian.

Cheers,

Atlassian Marketplace for JIRA

We have a lot of admin users in our system because of the issue that only administrators can create projects. Most of these people are not administrators in the true sense so this is causing concern/panic among these people that they are about to lose their scrum boards etc.

We have submitted a renewal as per our company policies and is in progress, but regardless, sending out this email should not be done automatically. Is there a way to disable the sending of these emails?

Hello Shelli,

the only way is to disable ALL outgoing email (https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/JwISCw)

Hope this helps,

Fabio
