Hi All,
Senario:
Project A:
Issue 1,2,3,4
Agile Board : Project A Agile board
Project B:
Issue 110,111,112,114
Agile Board : Project B Agile board
Issue 4 from project A is moved to project B
then issue 4 becomes issue 115 in Project B
now here is my question:
if the issue 4 in Project A and when moved to Project B why would that issue 4 have the sprint information from Project A Agile board when should technically be only in Project B and should show only in Project B Agile Board.
The ranking field is used for a global ranking so when an item is moved between projects the ranking is carried across. So if your items have been ranked in each board in isolation then there is the possibility that you will need to reprioritise when an item is transferred between projects.
If you frequently move items between projects it is worthwhile creating another board which encompasses both Project A and Project B and using the backlog option in there to manage the priorities.
This community is celebrating its one-year anniversary and Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes has all the feels.
