Issues disappeared from Kanban boards

Cole Eklund February 27, 2014

Hello everyone- we are experiencing an issue with our OnDemand instance of Jira Agile. Earlier this week we had 4 Agile Kanban boards displaying a multitude of different issue types and tasks, and we configured our boards so we can move these tasks in an out of columns as part of our workflow.

Just today we no longer see some issue types, and in some cases all issue types, in all of our Agile Kanban boards. We do not use Sprint boards.

The only thing we changed this week is configuring our fields and field schemes so the proper fields display when creating an issue for our various departments and groups. Is our modifications to our field configuration scheme to blame for this issue?

Thanks

Possibly. It's hard to say for sure, but the query that determines what shows up your boards could be looking only for issues that have certain fields populated. Like fix version for example. Most Kanban boards look for issues that have fix version. You can check to see if your filter is filtering these out by going to the board configuration page and checking on the filter query or the work sub-filter. If you have something in there try clearing it out to see if that fixes it.
