Issue Collector Not Available for a Project

I am trying to setup an issue collector for my Team Based Kanban board project. 

I've followed the instructions here:

However the project is not  available to be setup with an issue collector from either System>Issue Collectors or Project Settings (there is no issue collector menu item available in the sidebar)

I am logged in as a Jira Administrator with global persmissions.

What am i doing wrong?

If you are using a team-managed project, then issue collectors are not available - feel free to vote/watch this feature request on Atlassian's backlog. If you are wanting to use the issue collector, you will need to use one of the classic project types
