Is there anyway to edit greenhopper value for "sprint" field?

S K November 7, 2014

Hi .. We are using the JIRA agile Work mode. We have parallel sprints running for engineers. My issue is the green hopper sprint number that gets assigned to each sprint.

For e.g. We started we sprint 4.33 with green hopper sprint value as 37 &

Sprint 4.34 with green hopper sprint value as 38

After deploying 4.33 we had to do a patch release and we called it 4.33.1. Green hopper value for this sprint became 39.

You see our sprint labels & green hopper sprint number are so confusing. I was wondering if there is any way for me to make a change and assign sprint 4.33 a green hopper value of 33 & sprint 4.34 as 34?

Please let me know.

Thanks

When you name a sprint such as "4.33" that is just a text label and I believe JIRA will allow multiple sprints to exist in separate projects with the same label.  To keep them unique JIRA assigns a unique number automatically.  That is the 37, 38, 39 you are seeing.  It is incremented with each sprint that is created.  I don't think that value can be edited or at least its probably not advisable since you run the risk of it not remaining unique.
