We have create a few versions and there are epics and issues assigend, finished and released. We are not using bamboo but would like to make the versions as released. In the release screen of our version it indicates that we need to have bamboo.

Is there any way to mark the version released with out bamboo?

Hi Edward,

The integration with Bamboo is only required if you are triggering the build process. You can still release the version as follows:

  1. On the 'Versions' screen, hover over the relevant version to display the cog icon, then select Release from the drop-down menu.
  2. If there are any issues set with this version as their 'Fix For' version, JIRA allows you to choose to change the 'Fix For' version if you wish. Otherwise, the operation will complete without modifying these issues.

(info) To revert the release of a version, simply select Unrelease from the drop-down menu.

You can then also review 'Project' > 'Overview' > 'Change Log' for an additional summary.

There is also some great documentation on managing versions:

If you are still encountering issues, could you outlie the action you take when the 'Require Bamboo' message is displayed?

Cheers,

Paul

The thing I was missing is on the manage versions screen. On that screen you get the cog and that is were you can mark the version as released.
