Is there any way to configure time spent in Sprint Health gadget (work complete)

As described here, the Sprint Health gadget will not reflect the progress from work logged in the 'Remaining Estimate' and 'Time Spent' fields in JIRA.

My agile board estimation is configured to use "Original Time Estimate", and Time Tracking is set to use Remaining Estimate and Time Spent. As I can see on link above, the Sprint Health plugin will never show work complete (right?).

Is there any way to see the work complete without changing the Estimation Statistic?

As far as I know, only way to display the work complete is by changing the estimation statistic (to issue count).
