Is it possible to remove a issue type from a project whithout changing its Scheme?

I want to block the creation of new issues of a certain type and keeping the history of existing issues.

Hi Pedro,

John's right you can't make certain issuetypes available for certain users and some not.
But something that might help is Issue Level Security.

This will allow you to put a control measure in place so that people won't be able to see or do anything with the issuetype unless they belong to a particular security group that you set up.

Here's some documentation, hope it helps

Hi Pedro,

Unfortunately, this is not possible. You cannot disable or archive an issue type within an issue type scheme. If you remove an issue type in the scheme, it will force you to convert all issues using that issue type.
