I need to remove/hide the 'Assign' and 'Update Priority' items from this menu - is there any way of doing this?

Thanks,

Alex

No way to do this I believe. And unfortunately no point in raising an issue on the atlassian tracker, being that they are not doing more work on the classic boards.

Assign still appears in the equivalent detail window on the RapidBoard and people can drag and drop. If you need Assign removed you could add a request for that to be configurable.

In 5.x you needed the "schedule issue" permission to drag issues around on the planning board, according to the wiki it's the same permisison in 6.x.

We got around it in the end by simply disabling the entire menu - not ideal, but it solved the immediate problem.

All being well, we're going to move to GH6 in the next couple of months and start using the Rapid Boards instead, so this will hopefully become a non-issue for us.

No, I mean the dropdown menu that appears from the cogwheel icon on each card.
