Is it possible to change the workflow in a team-managed project to one that is already defined one

Kristof Lemmens May 10, 2021

Hi All,

We have different team-managed projects in our company, but we want them all to the same workflow.
Not the basic workflow 'To Do --> Progress --> Done'

but an workflow with more steps that we have create in the workflow shemes

So if a new team-managed project starts can we select a template with a preconditioned advanced workflow?

Thanks

Hi Kristof - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The concept behind Team-managed projects are that they are independent of all other projects. So, no you cannot share workflows across Team-managed projects - each workflow is unique to that project.

If you need that capability, you should use Company-managed projects.

Okay,
Then at this moment if I want to start a Company managed project how can I select the correct template before creating the project itself ?

Choose Create Project

Then select Jira Software option in the bottom right.

Next select Kanban or Scrum

Then select Use Template

Then select Company-managed project
