I am struggling with sending invitation to my team members, i have added users in past and it worked like a charm. But today, emails are not getting sent.

There is currently an active incident involving email notifications, have a look at https://status.atlassian.com/. I would also recommend subscribing to updates so you will be notified of future issues.
