Improving Sort Speed

I'm trying to find a way to sort priorities faster. If I move a ticket out of backlog into my big list of thousands of items on the to-do side. I can either sort to top or sort to bottom in jira agile, but trying to drag it up/down the list is very slow. Any ideas? I basically need a way to set rank to X items down from the top.

Hi Dan,

I am afraid you won't be able to do that in Cloud. Agile boards need to be sorted by the rank field, and depending on the number of issues in your backlog, re-ranking issues can take some time. My suggestion is to keep your backlog to a minimum, as JIRA Agile is designed to work with few items at a time.
