If a technical task is flagged with an impediment, can the parent story be automatically flagged too?

I would like the task to be the first destination for an impediment, but i would like the story to inherit the impediment. is that possible to do that somewhere? i imagine it wouldn't be workflow?

Hi Laurence,

You can use a workflow post function "Set Field Value from Parent" to update the child issue with the value of a given field from the parent, but not the other way around.
