If I add a field value in Epic will it propagate to an (already open) Story?

Hi everyone, 

I have an existing Epic, and a postfunction set to copy certain custom fields from the Epic to the newly open child Story.  If those fields weren't already filled on the parent Epic when the Story was opened they will be empty in the child Story. 

If I add them later on in the Epic, will they propagate to the Story or will those fields remain empty in the Story?

Hi @nebbs welcome to the community.   No they will not populate on edit.   You can create an automation on update to copy the field value to the linked story from the epic when you populate those values.
