I'm unsure how to remedy this issue. I have 2 different boards but issues populated on one board also show on another I need separation how do I fix this?
Hi @Craig Eyth -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What appears on the boards is determined by the board filter. Please look at those filters to compare and make them distinct for your different boards based upon what is different in the issues, such as Component, Label, etc.
You may find the filters under the ... menu at the right of the view: ... > Board settings > General
Best regards,
Bill
Hello @Craig Eyth
Welcome to the community.
Issues exist in projects. Boards are just a method for visualizing and managing the issues. You can have multiple boards viewing the issues in a single project, and issues can be viewed in multiple boards.
As @Bill Sheboy said, the issues displayed in the board are based on the filter for the board, and the way to have issues display on only one board is to modify the filter for the board. Of course, you also have to have some element of the issues that you can add to the filter to distinguish that the issues should display in board A or board B.

So If i dont have issues created that I'm trying to filter onto those boards than I cant filter off the issues that I do not want on there?

Hi Craig,
I am unclear what you are asking. Perhaps you could give us some specific example issues for the two boards, and what makes them different. That will help you figure out the filters to display them on the boards.
And, here is the documentation on configuring Classic boards to provide a reference:

Thanks,

So I have 1 project, I'm trying to use 1 board in that project for maintenance request/issue reporting and the other board I'm using for ongoing clerical work that pertains to the vehicles from the other board, but I'm seeing my maintenance request showing on both boards but I need to keep them separate.

Exactly how do you know an issue is for ongoing clerical work vs. maintenance request/issue reporting? Is that based on the Issue Type? Is it based on a value in the Component or Labels field?
