Iam trying to create a dashboard which should help on   tracking the  statuses of issues created under one migration initiative can someone help me how to write a query for this.?

That totally depends on how you set up an initiative and the link to the issues related to it. As you indicate being on a free plan, you could maybe use the roadmap of the Jira project your issues are in?
