What do you mean by "all tickets with it"? Did you delete all tickets after removing the column?
Removing a column does not delete the tickets within it.
A board column is mapped to 1 or more workflow statuses. So if you remember the status(es) of that column you can search for them via the Jira search functionality.
Can you give me more details about using the search function? I deleted the Sprint Backlog column and the team had TO DO cards in the column. I thought they would go to the backlog automatically, but they did not and I can not find them. Is the search function a JCL statement?
