Dear all,
We actually face an important isuse. We were running a test Server instance with a lot of configuration and we still need to run those test for at least 3 month.
Unfortunatly our server trial licence expire in a week and we need to find out the fasted way to keep contiue to work on the instance.
The current Test Server instance is using *H2 database* as we have only 10 projects we are evaluating
What could be the easiest way to continue using our instance without redoing our configuration which is impossible has users already place a lots of data in ?
*Question 1* : Does Atlassian will be able to issue us a new extended trial lience ?
*Question 2* : If no to question 1 , does Atlassian will be able to sell us exeptionnaly a server licence for keeping us to work ?
*Question 3* : if no to question 1 and 2, would it work to make a Server XML backup and simply restore it to a DataCenter version single node ?
*Question 4: * If no to all above, what is the way to Export/Import project Server to Data Center with 100% reliability ?
Thanks for sharing
Hi @serge calderara ,
if you need to keep testing, you can simply generate a new trial license at my.atlassian.com and click on "New trial license". There are no limits on how many trial you can use, if you're still on testing phase.
Let me know if this helps,

Hello @Alexis Robert , no it is not possible to generate a new trial licence ffor SERVER has it is end of life.
We can only select Cloud or Data Center BUT NOT server

In this case you can simply choose Data Center : you won't need to do anything else, just update the license key in Jira.

@Alexis Robert , are you sure it works that way because we try it and we get a never ending bar graph saying "Updating your licence".....
Does this update is long ?
Does it works if we have H2 db configured in our testing server instance ?
What about plugins which use server licence instead of Data Center ?

Hi @serge calderara ,
yes, it should be as simple as updating the license key : there are no restrictions even on trial licenses as long as it is for testing purposes.
It should also work fine even on the H2 database.
For your plugins, you can do the same : go on marketplace.atlassian.com, search for your plugin and click on "Try it free" and you'll have a 30 day trial license.
