How to maintain different backlog priorities (sorting) for the same JIRA items in 1 different agile boards

Theo Jungeblut September 30, 2013

Hi,
Is it possible in JIRA to create 2 Agile Boards (for example called "A" and "B", where is is possibe to display the same JIRA items, but be able to change the backlog on both boards without impacting each other?

The example is as following:

Board A
Is used for the dev and PM to manage the backlog for the sprint.

Board B
Is used by the support team to mange and prioritize the same items in their own board (view) based on customer impact for discussion with the dev team.

If the backlog in A is changed not changes ot the backlog order in board B is happening and of course the other way around.

Is that possible with JIRA?

Thanks in advance,

Theo

If both use the same ranking field than both boards will have the same ranking. I have not tried myself but check if you can use two different field for ranking. If that works, then both boards can have a different ranking on the same issue.
